As someone who has better than 10 years of piano recitals under her belt ... yeah, this is a great analogy! One of the awesome things about God is that His power is made perfect in our weakness. Such that those areas we stink at so badly are the areas that have some of the greatest potential to bring Him glory, honor, and praise. We can come to the "recitals" in full confidence knowing that even in our failures God is pleased and has full opportunity to do awesome things.
Thanks for such a great reminder!

Good analogy! As your mother I can tell you, I was so proud of you at your recitals (many years ago). It didn't matter so much to me if you were perfect, I was proud that you were trying and giving it your best. If at times I seem hard on you in regard to your school work (and I know I was) it was because I knew your potential and wanted you to achieve the great things I knew God had in store for you. I hope you know how much I love you son! Mom
